HVAC INSTALLATION · Pasco, WA
New heat pump, AC or furnace, sized for your house and installed clean.
Total Quality Air installs all brands and models out of the shop at 619 N 3rd Ave in Pasco, and the sign out front carries the American Standard dealer panel.
Chapter 01
A system that runs is not the same as one you are happy with
Total Quality Air says it on its own installation page: “We don’t want to install a system that simply works. We want to give you one that you’re happy and comfortable with!” That is the whole job. A unit can cool the living room, leave the back bedroom stuffy, and still technically be working. Carlos Garcia has more than 20 years in HVAC, and the goal in every Pasco, Kennewick and Richland home is comfort you stop thinking about.
Size is where most of that gets decided. A system that is too big blasts the house cold, shuts off, and starts again a few minutes later, which wears parts and leaves the air clammy. One that is too small runs nonstop on the hottest afternoons and never quite catches up. Picking the right capacity for your actual house matters more than picking the biggest box on the truck.

What gets installed, and how we size it for your house
We install heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, thermostats, gas fireplaces and more. Total Quality Air is an American Standard dealer, and we can install all brands and models, so the recommendation follows your house instead of a sales sheet. As a Tri Cities heating specialist, we also handle gas fireplace installs in Pasco, Richland and Kennewick, with the gas line run by the same crew.
Sizing starts with the home, not a rule of thumb. That means looking at the square footage, the insulation, the windows, how the house sits against the afternoon sun, and the condition of the ducts that will carry the air. A great new unit hooked to leaky or kinked ductwork still disappoints, so the ducts get a hard look before anyone quotes you equipment.
The small details show in the finished job. Refrigerant line sets get routed neatly, the condensate drain gets a proper path to somewhere sensible, and a closet install ends up clean enough that you would not mind opening the door. Up-front flat-rate pricing means you hear the number before the work starts, with no surprises on the invoice.
Chapter 03
After the install: start-up, a walkthrough and a first tune-up
A new system is not finished when it powers on. A proper start-up checks airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections and thermostat settings. Then you get a walkthrough: where the filter lives, what the thermostat is doing, and which sounds are normal. Nobody should have to guess how the system they just paid for works, and a good installer does not leave until you know.
When ducts are touched during a replacement, the Washington State Energy Code can require duct testing, with the results going to you and the building official. It is one more reason to hire a contractor who knows the rules instead of learning them on your dime. Our maintenance program is a natural next step, since a new system stays new longer when someone checks it twice a year.

"The technician was very nice, worked quickly, and was respectful of my home, no mess left behind at all." Denise Tapia, Google review.
