Gas lines for the grill, the fire pit and the water heater
Natural gas or propane lines run to the BBQ, oven, fireplace or fire pit, plus gas and electric water heaters serviced, repaired, maintained and installed.
Chapter 01
Adding a gas line for the thing you just bought
Gas appliances don't arrive with a gas line already waiting for them. A BBQ on the patio, a gas oven in a remodeled kitchen, a gas water heater, a gas fireplace or a fire pit in the back yard each need a line run to the exact spot where it will sit. Total Quality Air installs natural gas and propane lines for all of them.
Natural gas and propane aren't piped quite the same way, so the first question is which fuel you have. A house on the utility's natural gas runs one way, and a place with a propane tank runs another. Knowing that before the first cut keeps the job from stalling halfway, and it's a short conversation when you call the shop at (509) 205-1592.

How a gas line gets run so you can trust it
A gas line has to be sized for everything it feeds, not just the one new appliance. The pipe gets chosen for the total load on that run, so the furnace and the new fire pit both still get the pressure they need. Routing, a shutoff within reach of the appliance and the connection at the far end matter as much as the pipe itself.
Before anything gets lit, the line gets a pressure test and a leak check at the joints. It's slow, plain work, and it's where a gas job is won or lost. Gas pressure and connections are also on the shop's own maintenance checklist for furnaces, so this is familiar ground for a crew that works around gas heat every day.
Chapter 03
Water heaters, gas or electric
Water heaters come under the same roof. Total Quality Air services, repairs, maintains and installs water heaters, gas or electric, so a tank that's gone cold, started leaking or just worn out doesn't send you hunting for a second contractor. Describe what the heater is doing and the shop will tell you what it takes.
Gas water heaters add a venting question. The flue has to draw properly and carry exhaust outdoors, and that gets looked at whenever the burner or the unit is worked on. Many of them sit close to the furnace or air handler, so one crew can look over the whole mechanical closet in a single visit around Pasco, Kennewick and Richland.
"He explained what was going on in a way that was easy to understand and made sure everything was working properly before leaving." Joshua Larios, Google review.
A new gas line is often the first step toward a gas fireplace, and the same shop handles the furnace work when furnace repair comes up. One crew for the pipe and the equipment keeps things simple.
